Simply put, they are like hobbies and something that you really like the most, which can vary differently among us. As an autistic individual and a fan of anime, cartoons, movies, books, games and comics, there can be explanations through my experiences. I was more into drawing and reading which in fact unlocked my potential to be creative. Watching cartoons on TV channels, movies, comics and storybooks have provided me an advantage too, with the characters being easy to draw on paper. When I was little, I was more isolated due to my tastes and hyperfixations that can be quite different from the rest. Finding soulmates at that time were even much harder when you are the only the one who has your hyperfixations which are diverse, almost the half hailing from the Land of the Rising Sun. That included Despicable Me, Looney Tunes, Hanna Barbera cartoons, the Smurfs, Shakugan no Shana, Fairy Tail, Sword Art Online, Digimon, Pokemon, K-ON, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Accel World, B-Daman, Guilty Crown and others – you name it. Just when I was wallowing in that waterhole of hopelessness, I met another anime fan, she was like a lighthouse that was miraculously found in the midst of the stormy ocean. She told me to go for the cosplay events where anime fans gather if I were to branch out and forge new friendships. Hearing those words inspired me to do it, so I set afoot and went to a cosplay event. When I first stepped afoot at the cosplay event, it was like Disneyland for me. I soon got into plenty of anime titles that the others have been hyperfixating on – A Certain Scientific Railgun, Love Live School Idol Project, Re Zero, Bang Dream, Cardfight Vanguard, Date A Live, Fate Grand Order, Macross, Demon Slayer and others. Eventually I began to forge new friendships with other anime fans who share the same interests or hyperfixations like me. Redefined, I felt no longer lonely. My soul brothers and sisters that I have met were totally in sync with me despite the differences that set us apart. That was when I got into Hatsune Miku in university, her songs was mesmerizing with her angelic voice that reached out to me. She has a lot of fans who love her songs dearly, and that was like heaven for me. I reached out to them online and in person during cosplay events, making friends with them and maintaining relationships, even during the hard times we have endured. I even watched Hatsune Miku singing her iconic song “Tell Your World” on the exact same day the Tokyo Olympics closing ceremony taking place in 2021, and I am not ashamed to admit it. That’s what my hyperfixations are, and I am proud of it. Most of her fans are a wholesome bunch, with me explaining to them and getting to know each other better through conversations online, accepting the differences like my autistic nature. However, my hyperfixations can have downsides for me. Even I can have my own Rogues Gallery like Batman, which includes the enemies and villains I have encountered online. It can expand a bit or even longer. All of this can trace back to squabbles and disagreements I have made online, with me disrespected on a few occasions. While they have a lack of interest in Sonic the Hedgehog and other crap, he then pressures them to draw Sonic fanart, including one fanart where Sonic is comforting his Rabbit Sona Ricky, and animations for him, even when they are busy in their education. KaiWei threw a hissy fit and guilt-tripped his “friends” after having a nightmare about a fracture in their relationship. According to KaiWei's exfriend Miau, KaiWei wanted to go Super Sonic on her simply because Miau’s personality doesn’t match his, and he thinks it’s hard to be friends with her just because she’s more cautious and doesn’t smile easily.
