Being from a trusting part of rural Texas, Ironically named Paradise, that had neither Mexicans or Blacks to be afraid of, Athena's Step-Mother didn't think twice about letting a 7-Year-Old Girl answer the door when there was a knock at it.

The Kiddy Murdering Freak's Excuse
Like all Dumbasses, horner couldn't seem to keep his story straight. This is what the police were able to piece together.
on November 30, 2022 was a great day for our soon to be Murderer. Good breakfast, he took a good Shit and getting to work was uneventful.
According to Horner, It all happened soon after he made the delivery to Athena's house. He was backing out of the house's driveway when he accidently hit Athena with his truck. Horner said that Athrna wasn't seriously hurt when he hit her but, acting on his monkey brained DNA, he was terrified about what might happen if he told her Father or Step-Mother so he scooped Athena up and threw her into his truck.
Thinking that he was a Kung-Fu master, Horner said that he tried to break Athena's neck.
You see what we're doing here? We're doing what the FBI calls Tactical Empathy. By using the names of the Victim and sick fuck over and over we are Subconsciously manipulating you to sympathize with that poor, innocent, little, 7-year-old girl Athena and to despise that sick ass Chomo Tanner Horner. Even the adjectives are a part of this technique. Stay in School kids. Isn't Psycholgy the coolest?
We apologize for the digression. Realizing that breaking a little girl's neck isn't as easy as Tv makes it out to be, Horner decided that it would be easier to just choke Athena until she was dead.
Once dead, Horner said that he drove 10 miles to an empty, rural part of Boyd Texas and tossed the little girl out of his truck like she was a bag of Trash.

Not having evidence before Athena was in the truck, Prosecuter James Stainton and police believe that Horner's kidnapping of Athena Strand was a crime of opportunity.
Either she was outside or Horner snached her when she ansered the door, police have evidrnce of her beeing in Horner's truck thanks yo the camereas that FedEx have installed in their trucks. Despite Horner's claim's that Athena was injured, video from the FedEx camera shows her on her knees, afraid, uncertain about what was going go happen.
Despite his covering up of the camera, audio exists of Horner attacking, possibly Sexually Assaulting the young girl and then murdering her.
Following the dumping of Athena's body, Prosecutor Stainton says that Horner went back to work, delivering packages like nothing had happened.
Prosecutor James Stainton says that the only Trutful statement that Horner made was his admission that he murdered Athena.
Hoping yo avoid the Death penalty, after pleading guilty to his crime of murdering a little girl, Horner took police to where they could find Athena's body.
The Devil Made Him Do It Defense
Even though Tanner Horner claims to feel remorse, accepts responsability for his actions and has pleaded guilty to his crime of strangling Athena Strand to Death, he stll has to face a jury of blood thirsty Texans that enjoy watching a child killer get a needle in his arm for his sentencing phase.
Trying to get Hotner life in Prison instead of having to ride the lightning, Horner's attorney, Lindsay Thompson is throwing everything that she ca at the wall and hope that something sticks.
Such classics include Brain Damage, his mother drinking when she was pregnant with him, autism, being physically abused by his parents, a rough childhood, Bullying and eating paint chips, that's just a colloquial way of saying lead poisoning for you idiots out there.
In a plot twist that can only be written by a bad, Hollywood, hack writer (think George Lucas), Horner's big defense is now claiming that he suffers from Multiple personality disorder and that he wasn't the one who killed Athena but actually his alter ego Zero that committed the murder.
Horner claims that after he hit Athena with his truck that she wouldn't calm down or quit crying Really?, not wanting to get fired or go to Prison, his alter ego Zero took over, threw her in the back of the truck and to Shut The Fuck Up because he was going to take her to a hospital.
Claiming that Zero murdered Athena, Horner said,

Looking to follow the great American tradition of passing the buck and putting the blame on something out of his control, Horner made claims that it was shorly after he started working for FedEx that Zero started to emerge.
Sounding like he got his understanding of Multiple Personalities from the movie Fight Club, claiming that stress was to blame and he would wake up, having lost days - unaware of what he had done or that it was like being the pasanger in the back seat of a car. He could see where he was going but he wasn't able to choose the direction that he was going.
In a desperate attempt to explain why Athena was found Naked, Horner tried to explain that it was Zero's idea to undress Athena, throw her clothes out on the road all because Zero thought it would be funny.
We can't wait to hear Horner's excuse when the prosecution asks him why they found his Baby Gravy all over Athena.
