User talk:Carlton Banks
Welcome
Welcome, Carlton Banks
This is serious. READ IT.
Before making your first article look over ED:101. If you don't, it is unlikely that your article will survive for more than sixty seconds and you risk being banned by ED Sysops.
We realize a lot of you are busy or may be new to ED, so here's just the most important info:
- Read ED:101. Seriously. The information contained within is invaluable. Further tutorials of use can be found here.
- To answer a message, reply on the user's talk page (Tab at the top that says 'discussion').
- Sign your comments by using four tildes (like this ~~~~)
- These are the sysops. If you have a problem, talk to them. They're here to help; we promise.
- The TJC is the community portal. It's linked to from every page; just look at the top left of the page. Check it daily.
- Use Special:Upload to upload pictures. Be sure to give them meaningful names. Also, do not upload any CP or Bestiality pr0n or you will be b&.

RE: china
That wasn't the reason I reverted you. Spelling and grammar are important on articles (among many other things). Please read ED:101 to get an idea of what to do. ◔ᴗ◔ 21:44, 15 October 2011 (CEST)
Spelling and grammar
What exactly did I spell wrong? All I did was add Democracy and "Lie" to Socialist.
- Because it's not the "Democracy Party of China" it's the "Democratic Party of China". Say them out loud, which one sounds retarded to you? (Not an insult, just think about it.) ◔ᴗ◔ 21:53, 15 October 2011 (CEST)
- We're on the same page here. That's what I meant earlier when I was talking about the "Democracy Party" mistake. As for the Democracy Party, I agree, it does sound retarded. Though I have seen retarded names before for political parties. Like Bull Moose Party for example; But yeah, fucking wikipedia mislead me. Carlton Banks 22:09, 15 October 2011 (CEST)
Interestingly enough
I did some searching and actually did find a China Democracy Party. Check it out. http://www.cdp2006.org/ Carlton Banks Carlton Banks 22:25, 15 October 2011 (CEST)
RE: Semi-protect
Full protection of a page limits its access to that of sysops and editors only. Semi-protection blocks new users (under 4 days I think) and are yet to achieve autoconfirmed status. Basically if new users are fucking shit up, its a simple short term measure to stop it. Semi-protect won't affect your ability to edit as your account is more that 4 days ond. ~Oblique 08:05, 25 January 2012 (CET)
- So that's what it means. Thanks for clarifying. Carlton Banks 08:17, 25 January (CET)
RE: Your sig
You can adjust your timezone so that timestamps on your signatures reflect what time you actually made the comment. There is no rule regarding that :P On a side note, I think you should get a custom sig with Tom Jones lyrics. TylerRosenow º Ӕ º ₡ º ✉ 16:42, 4 February 2012 (EST)
- Well fuck, why didn't I think of that? Thanks for the reminder. I'll just use four tildes from now on then. Shit's a lot easier than typing it in manually all the time. As for a custom sig, I've never really thought about making one, seeing as I don't know the first thing about how to do it lol. Is it easy? Carlton Banks 17:40, 6 February 2012 (EST)
- For most people, it's just some words/symbols that are piped to their userpages. Here's mine without the wiki code so you can see what I mean.
[[User:TylerRosenow|TylerRosenow]] º [[User_talk:TylerRosenow|Ӕ]] º [[Special:Contributions/TylerRosenow|₡]]
You can get pretty creative with the different fonts, colors, and effects. Mine is pretty simple but if you want something cool, you can always swipe code from the talk pages of random wikipedia users. Yours might read something like:
Carlton BanksCome help yourself--To my lips
You can enter all that code into your preferences so four tildes ~~~~ automatically renders what you see above.
But it's all your decision.
