You Do Realize This Is Fake, Yes?

This meme is actually based on a kind of illusion, called pareidolia, the psychological phenomenon involving a vague and random stimulus (usually an image) being mistakenly perceived as recognizable (like seeing shapes in clouds or Jesus on the back of a road sign). Is similar to apophenia, the psychological phenomenon of seeing patterns that don't exist. Basically our brains can't handle the unfathomable universe as it actually exists, so our brains constantly seek to try and "explain" or "dumb things down" into familiar and simple concepts in order to keep us psychologically stable. Effectively...your brain, or to be more precise your subconscious, is constantly and continually lying to you...about everything. Everything you see, everything you experience, every notion, every thought...they are *ALL* directly influenced by your subconscious and in a directed effort to keep you sane by controlling and limiting your perceptive ability...varies though, some people require a bit more..."protection" I guess you could say, to keep them from going crazy. ^__^
