The Ever Given, Callsign:H3RC, also known as Evergreen, or Canal's Closed, is a 1,312 foot container ship, that on March 23, 2021, was supposedly blown off course by a gust of wind and got itself beached in the Suez Canal's East bank. En route from Rotterdam to Chy-na, it had about 20,000 containers on board worth a total of about $9 billion.
The resulting traffic jam will likely result in your shipments of Bad Dragon dildos being delayed by several weeks, and means that it will all have to go around Africa, like people have been doing since slavery was still legal.
So what the fuck were they doing to get it free?
Exactly one excavator was dispatched to try and dig out the ship. Meanwhile, a small group of tug boats, including those with the callsigns of BARAKA1 and MOSAED were attached to either end of the ship and attempted to spitroast it pull it out.
It apparently worked, as on March 29, a combination of their efforts and a high tide managed to refloat the Ever Given. It will be taken to a lake just off to the side of the Suez, where it will be thoroughly inspected for seaworthiness before being sent on its way.
