Electric Boogaloo is a term used on the internets to describe an egregious sequel that never should have been made. It all started in 1984 with the movie Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo, a shitty and completely unnecessary continuation of a movie that wasn't even any good to begin with.
The term is most commonly used to describe unbearably shitty movie sequels like The Matrix: Revolutions and Speed 2. Unfortunately, books fall victim to this plague just as often.
