In the beginning, there was a 7chan mod and Perl coder named Mockskin. And for a time, it was good. He coded several little fixes that allowed 7chan to function. It was because of this, that the other mods and users put up with his bullshit. In an image of himself, he is shown as having, long, greasy locks and in the process of growing a unix beard. By some he was compared to Hitler. He resided in 7chan's IRC channel 24/7. This is evidence that he had no life.

After quitting the job of being 7chan's equivalent of coda, somehow he inexplicably held on to his jumped up position of power (both in the IRC chan and the imageboard). This led to him being a complete dick, constantly criticizing everyone and everything. But we put up with his shit, his reign of terror. That was until someone stood up to him: Mockskin was publicly terrorised and humiliated by a 16 year old, bisexual azn girl on the IRC and /b/.

This revolutionary of sorts was /ignored by Mockskin until she posted degrading images and chatlogs of him. Mock then went fucking mental, deleting/banning posts and people on /b/. Drama ensued. He then added the words "mockskin", "mock" and "mootskin" to the banned word list. He then sent an email to admin with a quit message. But he still continued deleting critical /b/ posts until the mod password was changed.

We are now free of his tyrannical menacing. On the 29th of October 2006, he quit 7chan following lots of drama and lulz.

Yes you read it right. m00t has now confirmed a second time that he is a SJW cuck who gives a shit about freedom and his shithole of imageboard is definetely dead. After he heard about the leak he pretended he wanted to post it anyway and made a posting on the official 4chan blog about it but secretly he was mad that he got exposed once again for the faggot he is.

After the dust settled a bit over the weekend (as it was anyway clear since September that m00t is a SJW sellout bitch) m00t announced on 2015-01-22 that he will retire from his postition as 4chan admin.
It was now clear that Hotwheels was the new emperor in the land of imageboards and the indulgent emperor he was, he even participated in m00ts farewell party that was organized on 8chan under the name of #jesuismoot and on the 8chan board /jesuismoot/ (just like the je suis charlie news that were prominent at that time). Hotwheels was not mad about m00t and remembered the good old days when he was on 4chan in his childhood and thanked m00t for the good time like a true indulgent emperor to a little brat.

However 8chans userbase did not share the good sentiments of their leader and decided to ridicule m00t on various image macros and thread postings. A phrase that was often used at that time was "le cuck est mort" a deviation of the French "le cock est mort" meaning the rooster is dead from the famous french song "le cock est mort". Another phrase that was used was "le roi est mort - vive le roi" implying that Hotwheels was now the unquestionned emperor of the imageboard-o-sphere. Also a funny fact is that Hotwheels was actually sleeping when m00t announced this because he lives in the Philippines and they have a time shift compared to America and so he was very surprised and one of the later ones who learned about m00ts retirement.

However, 4chan was now officially dead after about 11 years and 8chan also felt another influx of 4chan newfags who were in denial about the happenings of the last months but apparently noticed that they are now beeing ruled by SJW mods who started flooding their chan.

Robots.txt is a text file that can be placed on a server, and the file basically tells spiderbots (from the Internet Wayback Machine, search engines like [[Jewgle]], and website archiving software) to fuck off.

In simpler terms, if this file were to be placed on ED's server, Google and other search engines wouldn't be able to archive copies of webpages, the Wayback Machine wouldn't be able to either, and you wouldn't be able to use some webpage archiving program to do it yourself.

This file is usually put on websites who don't want to have to shit themselves because some faggot posted something embarrassing, and they don't want to leave an internet record, so they usually can take down the page and put it back up minus the incriminating/embarrassing shit.

However, this does not stop you from taking screencaps, so take those if you find a website with one of these.

If you don't know if a website has one of these, go to Google, find the webpage, and click on the "Cached" link under the page link, and if it tells you something like "this page cannot be archived due to Robots.txt", then you'll have to save copies of the webpage by hand or take screencaps. You can also find out if it has this text file by punching in the address into the [[Archive.org|Internet Wayback Machine]], and it will tell you the same thing if the server has this file.

The present day version of robots.txt is cloudfare or literally any website that gives a verification pop up before you can see it, because the spider bots obvoiusly can not bypass the pop ups, and thus, they will fail to actually archive the page.

* [[Fanfiction.net]] has this file, so if someone you want to troll posted fanfics that are fucked up or lulzy, save copies of the stories they posted (especially if that's why you are trolling them) and repost them somewhere like a pastebin, because while they can't delete their accounts (they can blank their profile pages, so take screencaps if those have some lulzy content), they can delete all their story posts and story comments.
